Class experience:

An introduction to the continent of Africa!  We will learn all about the diverse people, landscapes, animals, food, and history of Africa from a firsthand account!  

​

The lesson will include:

-some African history such as Ancient Egypt, African Kingdoms, tribes

-learn about the animals of Africa

-learn about all the different people and how many languages are spoken

-learn about African cities

​

There will be a lot of discussion, especially focused on students comparing what they knew and thought about Africa before the beginning of the class, compared to afterwards.

All students will have the opportunity to offer their thoughts on the topic, this is how we foster amazing Critical Thinkers.

​

My teacher style is fun and engaging but with substance. My classes are about discussion, so we will be discussing everyone's perspectives and using power point slides of photographs I captured from when I lived in Africa.

​

No previous knowledge required! Especially great class for kids who ask a lot of questions, beginning to focus on their Critical Thinking Skills in an academic fashion.
